We ate at all the old favourites this year. Beer O’Clock was another new one we tried which wasn’t there when we last visited.
The food was brilliant and what we like about it was that it was a real good mix of casual dining, burgers, fish and chips, as well other dishes such as steak a la creme.
We found the owners Spiros and Zoe to be exceptionally friendly. Also, their son to be particularly attentive, as well as am aspiring boxer!
Great diner / pub and we vaguely remember polishing off a few glasses of the Metaxa 5 on our last night, ;D

Heard good reports of it but never tried it since it re-opened.
We did use it before when it was The Olive Press.
-
It's one of my favourites and will be visiting there at least once when I'm back over mid September
-
If we don’t get there in September we will next May when we have 3 weeks.

Love the name, does that mean the same to others? ie 10am ;D

Is that from the wild night before, just having a drink before bedtime ;D

Paid Beer o Clock a visit twice last week - chicken curry on my first night and a delicious New York burger on my last evening, both washed down with bottles of Peroni. Great service again and a warm welcome from Spiros, what's not to like...??

That is interesting.Somebody told me this morning that it was now closed.
-
Yes Maggie , Definitely closed today as we strolled past , Olga locked up as well and Bar 180 removing their sunbeds.
-
Have read elsewhere, that Beer O Clock is closed for good. The buildings owner apparently raised the rent, and its just not viable for Spiros to carry on, sad times, lovely food there.

What a shame, just when they were really making anime,it is not easy when you start and they have worked hard to make it a going concern.

Funny enough, when I was in the restaurant on Tuesday night Spiros mentioned that the business had a poor summer, but he never told me he was going to shup up shop for good. Really sad news, I loved the place.

Spiros and his partner told us in July it was a tough summer. A shame, but best to get out and stop losing money.
-
They did themselves no favours by opening at the end of May and shutting early in mid September. Thats not a full season

We are sorry to hear Beer O'Clock has gone belly up. We really enjoyed eating there in 2017. They had a quite an exciting menu and their service was tops. We were looking forward to visiting again when we return to the northern hemisphere in 2121. Still we hope to have 3 weeks in San Stef and there are lots of other great places to eat. Unlike when we first came. I think there were 4 tavernas and the Nafsica.
Quite frankly we can't wait and we are dusting off the Greek language books.
Cheers.
