Post by: Martin on May 22, 2007, 04:45:59 PM
I know that there are some very good places to eat out in San Stefanos, but can anyone recommend a good fish restaurant, i'm sure there is one where you can go in the morning tell them what you want and they will prepare it for the evening, any recommendations.

Martin you could try Manthos which is at the end of the village near the church, equally if you go to the Olive Press nearby and see Simone she can get various fish for the next day. :)

As I love fish.......... mainly from cold northern waters and am used to  fillet than whole fish I tend to stick to fish I know when on holiday. What fish would you recommend in San Stefanos? If whole how do you eat it? I don't do bones! I do though always fancy grilled or barbecued sardines.

Easy mate...just run your knife along the belly and lift, you should then be able to lift off the backbone
