What was it like in 2022?

AndrewK:
We were very lucky to have a couple of stays in the village - one in July which was to take in a landmark birthday and the other in August which was a Covid rollover.

The week in July was very much on the breezy side with one day quite showery. However, it was great to be back again and still thoroughly enjoyable as always.

August's three weeks were again on the breezy side for a few days but still quite hot as is usually the case at that time of season.

The place was relatively busy but not bulging at the seams as many of the bars and restaurants appeared on the quiet side in the week before filing up a bit more at the weekends.

As for prices it seemed like food in the shops or when eating out was around 10-20% higher than our last visit but alcohol prices remained about the same or with just a fractional rise in some outlets.

Hi Andrew, we were there first 2 weeks of September this year, our first visit since 2019. We were about to start the 3 Ws quiz when we heard the news of the Queen’s death.
Apart from a violent thunderstorm around 3am on our second day, we had glorious weather. The resort was reasonably busy but not like pre- Covid levels, and many different nationalities there as well as Brits.
Food and drink prices had increased slightly, but nowhere near as much as at home!
Haven’t planned our next holiday yet but I’m sure we’ll end up back in SS at some point!
Nice to see some activity on the forum after a short blank spell! All the best everyone!

We had a 2 week stay in October and it was wonderful.  It was so lovely to be back.  We didn't think the prices were too much higher and we were lucky with the weather.

Jackson:
We were there early June for first time in 20 months. I cant say we really noticed any price rises across food or drink, thats not to say there were not any rises, but we tend to just eat where we fancy and what we fancy and price is not the first thing we look at. Saying that if a main in other places was 10 euros and somewhere else was 20 euros that may make a difference. We actually brought home almost 400 euros, which of course goes straight into the June 23 fund. Yamas  :)
