Well, the incredible lightening show last night turned into the most incredible thunderstorm overnight. As the storm moved in over Corfu, we had the lot.....sky lit up by sheet and fork lightening, high winds, loud thunder overhead, and rain coming down sideways!!
For anyone on facebook, if you can find Giannis Mazis photography page, there are the most amazing photos that he took, all taken from Arillas/San Stef.
So after a sleepless night for many, today started a little overcast, but soon brightened up to a lovely sunny day.
Although still overcast this morning, it didn't stop people heading to the beach to grab a sunbed ready for when the sun came out.
Tonight the air is very still, without even so much as a slight breeze here on the strip, so hopefully we're in for some good weather again now!

It hammered it down at Corfu airport today! Around 1pm. Fork lightening all round the airport!

Lovely and sunny again today, just a few fluffy clouds in the sky.
Quite breezy though, especially by this afternoon.
A quite quiet day in the village, as more people left for home again today.
Also, more couples here now than young families, so the village does take on a more sedate feel.
This evening sees slightly cooler temperatures, with a few choosing to bring an extra layer just in case they feel it slightly. Still great weather for sitting out though.
And a great view of the stars tonight due to a very clear sky.

The next week or so looks fantastic. 80f mild evenings and light winds. Perfect
