Yes Lesley, we should definitely all be promoting the recycling, to help keep the resort as clean as we can! I've used others, and they're a fantastic asset to the communities....when you see how much can be recycled, it can only be a positive step towards reducing the load on the landfill problem.

As a family of four it is amazing (and sad) how much waste we create especially on holiday. Plastic water bottles and beer/wine bottles that last year were going into general waste and adding to the problem of over filled bins.
I really hoped that Corfu / Agios Stefanos would start up some kind of recycling facility and now that it has we will gladly recycle as much of our waste as we possibly can.
Let’s hope the new recycling unit is open throughout the season, and well done to the volunteers involved.
A FB page to promote and encourage recycling would be a good idea to get awareness to as many tourists as possible.

Yes, it's quite amazing how much recyclable items we all use on holiday.....water bottles, suncream bottles, food packaging etc. Last year we had literally a mountain of empty plastic bottles in our shop's back room, as also didn't want to add to the situation. When the Arillas recycling opened, we just about filled the car with them! At least we have more space for stock now though ;D

It's a great idea.
We recycle as much as possible here very little goes from us to landfill I'm pleased to say.
I hope visitors take note and use it.

Really good to hear about the recycling facilities - we will definitely be participating and doing our bit to help :)
