Lesley:
As Jackie mentioned in an earlier post the winter weather!!! - during January we have experienced snow (almost unheard of for Corfu - yes the mountains do get some) but this actually settled in the garden. It has been so wet here and actually pretty nippy too several nights at -5c.  A question I am often asked during the Summer is what's the weather like in the Winter? as we are thinking of moving to Corfu and/or retiring here.
So last night during another thunderstorm, heavy rain and some hailstones again too I Googled average rainfall as the rain and more rain was getting rather boring.
Average yearly rainfall in London is 557 mm, In Manchester its 810 mm and in Corfu its 1352 mm - it's no wonder Corfu is such a beautiful Green, Lush island. Sun though is trying to break through today and whilst its certainly not as cold as what the UK is experiencing at the moment its once again a chilly & just 5c at 09.00 hrs here with a blustery wind from the snow capped Albanian mountains across the way.
Roll on Spring and Summer as I too need to feel the sun on my now very damp bones!!!

I guess you'll start to warm up by the end of this month. :)

Unfortunately, it feels like that's the monthly average. :'(

Our friends in Pavliana sent me photos of snow there last month but they are quite high up.
We have been offered a whole winter there whenever we want but it is quite remote up there.

Just paid the balance of my May holiday.
Can start ticking the days off soon. 8)
