Whats happenin'
Karen:
I seem to be repeating myself..but another glorious day. Feels hotter today, still a breeze though, which we need. Busy out and about last night. Bar 38 had live music, two young men on guitars and singing. Sofia, Spiro's sister sang a few numbers, fabulous voice. Drifters on in Condor were apparently good.
Tonight we have the Abba girls in Condor. Prices seem pretty much the same as last year. Had some lovely meals in Nafsika, my favourite being lamb kleftico. :)
Kernock:
Just a quick update on the olive oil situation...
The law has been held from being enforced after all of Europe in an uproar condemned it, and so the whole situation has been cancelled - GOOD NEWS!
Alineb Would you be able to get the definitive on this stupid rule. Many Tavernas are applying the No Olive Oil policy and stating it is the law. Waves even have taken away Vinegar! Something from the Government would be useful.
Karen:
We haven't thought about this, but thinking about this now, nafsika has none on table. Will try and remember to ask Spiros this evening. Very busy here now, lots of new people arriving.
Karen:
Just been talking to Tom where we are staying. Can't really grasp it but they are not allowed to put oil on the table and if you want it, they are supposed to sell a small bottle to you. Something to do with the government.
Karen:
Spoke to Spiros in Nafsika and he said they can't use their own olive oil , on the tables, he has many olive trees and so used to press his own olives.
Today is very windy, coming off the sea. Lots of new faces in yesterday. We're all gearing up to watch England later! :)
