Our first visit..... (4th - 11th June)
« on: May 25, 2012, 01:29:11 PM »
Hello all, me and my wife Sharon will be visiting San Stefanos for the first time between 4th and 11th June, we will be staying in the Stamatis Apartments and will be going Self Catering.... to try out the many lovely places to eat we have been readin about, although we would want to eat the occasionally snack in the  apartment, so any tips or information on shop prices for food and drink would be cool. Cheers.

Most of the supermarkets have similar prices - to be honest it normally works out cheaper to eat out as meals are not that expensive. We just use the supermarkets for snacks (bread & cheese and the like) and of course wine for the fridge!!

The bakery at the crossroads does some nice bread rolls and buns etc. too.
We usually go there for lunch things.

Cheap plonk is very cheap! Yoghurt is surprisingly expensive. Fruit is wonderful and very cheap.

But a superb burger, or pie and mash, at Tasty Corner are so cheap that it's really hardly worth the effort. And the pizzas are great.

Brian, really easy for u.

If u like beer then head where Nikos and friends will love u. He is a gem.

If u like food and watching Greek dancing then walk for 90 seconds to  Zorbas, its brilliant. Pavlos is the boss.

Ice cream and cheesecake, head for Sotto Zero, just across the road from you. Demi, Sofia and Julia will mother u like no other will .Promise.

Street food, Yiannis Grill on ure door step.

Sounds Easy?....... It is!!

Kappa Travel ! Yes, that's what it's called, I couldn't remember.(Senior moments becoming more frequent)
We rent a safety deposit box there (free!), as it's handy for the apartments where
we stay. We're there this year from 4th-18th June, so will probably see you around and about,
Brian and Sharon.

Sorry to report that Kappa Travel hasn't opened this year. The unit is empty and shuttered.
We got our safety deposit box from the car hire place next door to Zorba's.

Iris, is there anywhere to exchange currency in AG now, as Kappa has closed?
